Eradication of pirated software movement stepped into the eastern part of Indonesia. This was also confirmed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Business Software Alliance (BSA) with the South Sulawesi Police as a sign of the launch of several initiatives for law enforcement to suppress software piracy rates.
The MoU was signed by the chief representative and spokesman Donny Sheyoputra BSA Indonesia and Deputy South Sulawesi Police Chief Brigadier-General Pol. Syahrul Mamma.
Brigadier-General Pol. Syahrul Mamma said, South Sulawesi Police is committed to creating a space conducive to innovation and business growth. "Recently, we also established the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate to handle cases of violation of IPR," he said.
As part of the collaboration, the BSA was committed to supporting the South Sulawesi Provincial Police in enforcement efforts the Copyright Act in Makassar and South Sulawesi Province.
