Abiraterone, Drugs for Prostate Cancer

Medicines
The use of abiraterone combined with prednisone to treat patients with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The drug is used in patients who have received cancer treatment, such as docetaxel.

These drugs are only available by prescription. This product is available in tablet dosage forms

dose
Adults: 1000 milligrams (mg) once daily, taken together with 5 mg prednisone twice daily.
Children: Use is not recommended.
